New OFFICIAL LEGO Star Wars Film out NOW!

Lucasfilm, The LEGO Group and Spite Your Face Productions, the three most powerful forces on Earth, have joined forces to produce the new film Star Wars: The Han Solo Affair – which is released worldwide this week. All your favorite characters from the classic trilogy are bought to life through the magic of stop-motion LEGO animation in this, the first short film produced under the Star Wars license in over twenty years.

The latest in a series of animated shorts from Spite Your Face Productions, Star Wars: The Han Solo Affair offers a lighter version of events in The Empire Strikes Back, courtesy of everyone’s favourite plastic yellow men. The film is directed and animated by UK based animation and film production company Spite Your Face, and features a stunning original score by American composer Jason Graves (www.jasongraves.com). Spite Your Face Productions’ previous exploits with animated LEGO men have included promotional work for Sam Raimi’s upcoming Spiderman, an award winning ‘remake’ of 2001: A Space Odyssey and a critically acclaimed reworking of Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail in LEGO, which has received praise from both Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones, can be seen on the Monty Python and the Holy Grail: Special Edition DVD from Columbia Tristar, as well as the official LEGO site.
