Given the current state of the UK retail sector and the stagnation of Star Wars merchandise it’s understandable that shop owners will want to get the edge on sales after a number of disappointing years.
And with Toys “R” Us liquidating stock – despite the ire of their suppliers – the certainty that the toy market is going to get flooded with cheap LEGO sets is on the incline.
Now it turns out that a toy shop in the outer reaches of the UK has put its LEGO BrickHeadz out in front of the April 20th embargo. As first reported by Brick Fanatics, the UK Toymaster in the small market town of Melksham, Wiltshire has put price tags of £9.99 on 41608 Han Solo and 41609 Chewbacca and stuck them out on shelves already.
How long they will stay there – since they have already been reported to LEGO – is unknown. Before you rush out and check your local toy shop for any new LEGO sets you can smuggle past the Imperial blockade just remember than in a month these will be everywhere, including LEGOshop.com.
