The too-cute-for-words, breakout star of The Mandalorian is now available to buy from today!
“When I received the challenge to create a Lego brick-built version of The Child, I knew that I had to get it just right,” said the set’s designer, Michael Lee Stockwell., “The goal was to capture the charm, and above all, the cuteness of the character, so we worked meticulously, choosing and placing each and every brick. We even included authentic details like the gearstick knob — a favorite toy of the Child, as seen in the series.”
Little is known about this character of his race. Believed to have been born 40 or so years before the Battle of Yavin, putting the creature’s birth 8 or 9 before The Phantom Menace – and making him roughly the same age as Anakin Skywalker. The Child is the third representative of a Force-sensitive race of aliens that have included Yaddle and Yoda, leading some to conjecture that this new character is The Love Child of these two Jedi Masters.
The second season of The Mandalorian, which airs today on Disney+, but will it extend and expand on the origins of The Child?
While we don’t know the back story of the character, we do know that 75318 The Child is made up of 1,073 pieces and is suitable for builders that are aged ten or up. Standing roughly 19 centimeters tall, The Child has posable ears, a rotatable head, and an adjustable mouth to help you come up with your own expression.
