Earlier this week LEGO.com revealed four of the Winter Wave sets and announced the official name of another within the set descriptions. Today, though, less grainy images of the remaining late December/early January sets have popped up after some LAN members have received sets early!
The images, which come from the back of an instruction manual, show both the overall set as well as some minifigure close ups. Closing out the wave are:
- 75297 4+ Resistance X-Wing Fighter
- 75298 AT-AT vs. Tauntaun Microfighters
- 75302 Imperial Shuttle
The Resistance X-Wing is the next addition to the 4+ subtheme. It will come with two minifigures – a new Poe Dameron similar to the one found in 75149 Resistance X-Wing Fighter and BB-8.
The AT-AT vs. Tauntaun Microfighters set becomes the second Microfighter for the wave. Similar to the Millennium Falcon that is also releasing with this wave, the AT-AT has previously been released as set 75075 AT-AT. Like the previous dual Microfighter sets this one comes with two minifigures. The AT-AT Driver looks similar to the ones included in 75288 AT-AT. Luke Skywalker is the second minifig and is a new variant!
Last up is the Imperial Shuttle which is scaled back quite a bit from the 75094 Imperial Shuttle Tydirium. This one has a 7166 Imperial Shuttle feel to it and fits with the reduced scaling of the TIE Fighter and X-Wing also coming in this wave. It comes with three minifigures – Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, and an Imperial Shuttle Pilot. Curiously, Luke is shown with a blue lightsaber and a black left hand.
These sets have yet to appear on LEGO.com so be sure to check back for the official release! What do you think about the remaining sets? Have they met your expectations, or were you hoping for something more. Let us know your thoughts down below.

To be honest, my money is safe! I agree with the reboot of lower price for fewer pieces and less detail for the kids but aside from that, there is nothing for me. I hope there is something later in the year and that Lego have learned from the many debacles this year and that the best sets are not saved for the likes of ComicCon, Celebration and extremely limited giveaways direct from Lego. I may get Luke’s X Wing if only to get to build that new wing mechanism but Leia and Dodonna will be sold on to pay for it…..
