Those collectors who were worried that they had missed their opportunity to purchase 77904 Nebulon-B Frigate after it appeared for sale last week on Amazon – when a flurry of purchases saw stocks decline rapidly before it got pulled down – need not despair.
LEGO has just updated its brand store page on Amazon with a splash image that declares this ex-San Diego Comic-Con exclusive is coming soon. At this point, clicking on the graphic only takes you to the freshly rebranded LEGO Star Wars section where there is currently no sign of this LEGO-exclusive-on-Amazon set. That will change soon, no doubt.
That this graphic has been added to the LEGO brand store pages on Amazon is positive proof that there are additional units available. While in the early days of San Diego Comic-Con exclusives numbers were typically in the high hundreds, recent convention exclusives – such as 75512 Millennium Falcon Cockpit and 77901 Sith Trooper Bust – have been available in the thousands, and the likelihood that there are still several thousand available is great.
While this isn’t enough to satisfy every LEGO Star Wars collector on the planet – or even the United States where its distribution is limited to – if people keep their heads and don’t over-purchase there will be plenty of satisfied fans.
If you don’t manage to get your own, you can build one yourself because LEGO has already provided the instructions and inventory for the set. All the elements are common enough that you might already have them in your spares bucket, or can pick them up for a handful of dollars at Bricklink or Brickowl. The exception is the sticker – which also came with 75294 Bespin Duel – and is selling on Bricklink.com at a premium.
