Get Snap Happy With The Latest LEGO Ideas Activity

LEGO Ideas have got the ball rolling for the May The 4th Be With You celebrations, and are asking fans to send in photographs of their Star Wars sets.

To check out all the details head to the activities page where there is a list of dos and don’ts based on the LEGO brand values. There aren’t any guidelines on what LEGO is expecting so whether you are a budding Vesa Lehtimäki and like to pose your minifigures in cool displays or you just want to show off your collection, this activity is for you.

While they are clear that this isn’t a competition, LEGO hasn’t stated what the purpose of this latest activity will result in. If it’s anything like 2019, when the Community Engagement Team involved the LEGO Ambassador network in a casting call that produced a crowd-sourced poster that appeared as window dressing in LEGO branded stores in Germany and featured scores of LEGO Star Wars collections, then there may be an ulterior motive.

No photography skills are necessary, so if you’re a point-and-click photographer you won’t be excluded but if you want some pointers head to Star Wars.com, who has already shared an article full of tips and tricks.

This community activity, which began on April 6th closes at 10:00 am CEST/4 am EST on the 16th.
