Official Or Accidental Reveal? It’s 40451 Tatooine Homestead!

Surfacing today via the LEGO instructions app (available for iOS and Android and a great way to save paper – just don’t expect to find the instructions for this set there yet) are a small selection of images of next month’s Gift With Purchase (GWP) – the much rumored 40451 Tatooine Homestead.

Aside from the smattering of images that show the Lar’s family homestead – including both the igloo-like entrance dome and main pit, two vaporators, a landspeeder with the mountainous Jundland Wastes in the background. Most enticing of all is the microscale Sandcrawler, which has a specially printed tile, with an assortment of characters and droids (notable Uncle Owen, C-3PO, R2-D2, a couple of Jawas and Luke Skywalker) made of 1 x 1 round plates stood around its base. Presumably, Aunt Beru is in the kitchen getting the blue milk ready.

This set is part of the May The 4th Be With You promotional event that is due to run from May 1st to May 5th, and will be free with any purchase of LEGO Star Wars products (worth $85 or more) at a LEGO Brand store (and participating LEGO certified stores) or through the LEGO.com retail website. As well as the new helmets and Imperial Probe Droid sets which come out on April 26th, the big-ticket MT4BWY item is a new version of the Ultimate Collectors Series R2-D2, which will sell for $200.

The question on every LEGO Star Wars collector’s lips is will the Blue Milk Luke Skywalker minifigure, which has been attached to the over-delayed The Skywalker Saga video game, be included in this year’s International Star Wars Day festivities?
