Watch Out! Multimedia Section Added To The Database

With our extensive database of LEGO Star Wars items, there aren’t many things left to include. However, one category that was still missing is multimedia.

For categorization sake, we have divided Multimedia into two main sections – video games and home entertainment. The former is self-explanatory while the latter represents the Blu-ray/DVD releases of the various animated shorts and cartoon series that have been offered at retail.

While this isn’t the most populated section of the database, it represents an important milestone for LEGO Star Wars. I’d also wager a guess that the majority of LEGO Star Wars fans have at least one of these items in their collection!

The nostalgia of LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game, which was first released in 2005, is unparalleled for many collectors. Navigating through Dexter’s Diner to each of the missions is imprinted in many of our memories. The following year, we got to relieve it again with the release of The Original Trilogy. Head down memory lane by taking a look back at some of the previous content we’ve covered:

Searching through the site you will find even more stories covering LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but we will leave that search up to you! Of course, THBA has also covered the news and rumors surrounding The Skywalker Saga. When the game is finally released you can guarantee we will give you a full rundown!

Although we have numerous stories covering various aspects of these games, even 15 years after the first release there is content that hasn’t been discussed! Make sure you check back to see what else we have in the pipeline in the coming weeks.

  1. A brilliant addition. I suspect that many people have a LEGO Star Wars game but no LEGO! As you have included the digital only release of LEGO Star Wars The Video Game for Java Mobile Phones, there is also LEGO Star Wars II for the same platform. Are you also planning to add the iOS and Android releases or even the numerous browser/flash games?

    • Having reviewed the new Multimedia section we’ve decided that since the Java game (and the other mobile versions) aren’t physical collectibles, we’re dropping themfrom the database.

But we’ll cover the other games in a future article to help collectors out.
