Retiring Soon: August Update

The list of confirmed and rumored LEGO Star Wars sets retiring this year in North America continues to fluctuate, with some expected and surprising additions to the list we posted last month, as retailers begin to prepare for their Christmas stock influx.

A number of these sets are already discounted at major retailers and though few of these will see markdown prices on LEGO.com, a double VIP points offer is expected in October, which is worth taking advantage of.

Regardless of the retailer, a certain logic can be applied to the longevity of a set based on the length of other set’s lifetimes and a good portion of these have been around for more than 18 months – and in some cases two years.
