Hammering Out The Minifigs Of 75319 The Armorer’s Mandalorian Forge

In a hole in the ground there lived some Mandalorians. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a Mando-hole, and that means conflict.

This particular hole is beneath the surface of Nevarro and concerns the denizens of 75319 The Armorer’s Mandalorian Forge, a secret steelworks that is used to make armor for the Mandalorian warriors who serve The Tribe, one of the last remnants of the Mandalorian people.

Paz Vizsla

While the names are confusing, Paz Vizsla – the Heavy Infantry Mandalorian – shares no relation to Pre Vizsla who is the leader of Death Watch in The Clone Wars animated series.

Paz was first seen in The Mandalorian Season 1 Chapter 3: The Sin as he confronts Din Djarin over his involvement with former Imperials. He then protects Mando later when the Bounty Hunter’s Guild comes for him. The Heavy Infantry is a new class of Mandalorian warrior, and as the name suggests they were equipped with heavy-duty Beskar armor.

Paz kept the traditional blue color which is captured by the minifigure’s torso printing and shoulder armor. Similar to Wrecker and the Dark Trooper, this figure required additional elements to bulk up his appearance which meant using the new shoulder armor piece for the third time this wave. The coolest part about this figure is the inclusion of the Mythosaur skull print! The helmet is the same as prior Mandalorians but is cast in sand blue. He also comes with unique leg printing. Paz is finished off with a brick-built jetpack that Mando himself would be jealous of.

The Armorer

Not much is known about this female Mandalorian who appeared in the very first episode of The Mandalorian except that she uses her forge to create the beskar armor and jetpack that Din Djarin wears, as well as provide him with upgraded weaponry.

When it comes to the inclusion of eye-catching characters, The Mandalorian has not disappointed. This Mandalorian with her fur coat and gold helmet grabbed the attention of many fans when she was first revealed.

As we’ve stated before, LEGO likes to take advantage of new parts whenever possible. The same helmet first seen on Gar Saxon in 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter has been cast in pearl dark gold this time to represent The Armorer. While the spikes on her helmet aren’t the same as the one on Gar’s, the element looks good for both characters. She has a unique torso and leg printing to capture the look of her brown breastplate and dark brown kilt. Although the torso comes with fur printing at the top, the big miss for this figure was the inclusion of something more to represent her fur coat. She comes with two of her forging tools.

The Mandalorian

What else is there to say? He’s a great character and although we’ve done a highlight on him in a couple of other sets, not everyone purchases an entire whole wave, so we will include him here as well.

The Mandalorian has swept Star Wars fandom, and LEGO has made sure to get in on the action. In other set reviews from this wave, we alluded to a third variation, so here it is! This Din Djarin minifigure is the same as the one found in 75299 Trouble on Tatooine, 75312 Boba Fett’s Starship, and 75315 Imperial Light Cruiser with one exception – he now comes with a jetpack.

Like the others, he comes with a dark brown body with silver Beskar armor comprising his plated vest, pauldrons, vambraces, gauntlets, and greaves. His bandolier is printed across the torso and gives the figure a good amount of detail. Replacing the dark gray cape of the prior version is a pearl dark gray jetpack to represent the remote-controlled JT-12 one that Mando uses. For this set, he comes with his Amban phase-pulse blaster and IB-94 blaster pistol.

LEGO crushed it with the minifigures in this wave, and the number of Mandalorians has grown significantly. It will be exciting to see what January holds!
