Brand new for the spookiest month of the year, LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales is now available on the Disney+ streaming service. This follow-up to LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special celebrates the villainous dark side of the Star Wars galaxy — just in time for Halloween!
The three-part, 46-minute long animated special feature – available on Disney+ from October 1st – is set after The Rise of Skywalker and takes place in Darth Vader’s castle on Mustafar
Presented by Vaneé, the simpering majordomo first introduced in Rogue One, who regales his guests at Chateau Vader with three non-canonical Sith-inspired stories: “The Lost Boy” the story of how a young Ben Solo first meets Ren and his Knights of Ren; “The Dueling Monstrosities,” which imagines how Darth Maul and General Grievous were reborn; and “The Wookiee’s Paw,” which gives a look at what might have been if all of Luke Skywalker’s greatest wishes were immediately granted.
Comic-reading Star Wars fans will recognize this story-telling format from the Tales from Vader’s Castle mini-arc that IDW Publishing included in their Star Wars Adventures comic book series in 2018. And like the comic series, Terrifying Tales is not meant to be taken seriously, so Star Wars purists can put away their soapboxes.
Produced by Atomic Cartoons, the LEGO Group, and Lucasfilm Ltd, the special is exclusively available to subscribers of the Disney+ streaming service now.
