With the looming presence of the Winter wave, which should start appearing on toy store shelves in a few weeks if you live in North America, or on January 1st, 2022 if you’re elsewhere in the world, LEGO has begun to ramp up its product reveals.
Last week we were exposed to two new Hoth sets, and yesterday came the reveal of the new Razor Crest Microfighter – and now LEGO, after teasing it in an email sent to the 6571 LEGO Ideas members who voted for Star Wars in the initial activity, has revealed the 150th BrickHeadz set in a follow-up email blast.
Originally part of a LEGO Ideas fan vote, the winning 150th BrickHeadz model was selected from a pool of Star Wars characters – and while the final choice was kept under wraps, rumors that it would be Aksoka Tano have been circulating for months.
And now, after two weeks less than a full year after the winning category was announced, LEGO Ideas have given us the full reveal of 40539 BrickHeadz Ahsoka Tano and shared that the set has a January 1st, 2022 release date..
We’re excited to reveal the latest LEGO® BrickHeadz™ character to join the line-up – 40539 Star Wars™ Ahsoka Tano™.
And if you’re wondering why LEGO Ideas is revealing this celebratory BrickHeadz set, then it’s because of the fan vote we ran here on the site back at the end of 2020 in which we asked you all to help select the theme of the 150th BrickHeadz character from among 4 options available. The fan vote revealed an overwhelming desire for more Star Wars characters with over 50% of voters voting for Star Wars.
It wasn’t long before the LEGO.com website updated its catalog with the full product details of this commemorative BrickHeadz set.
