The 40558 Clone Trooper Command Station blister pack marks the Prequel Trilogy equivalent of the Defense of Hoth set we just covered. Coming with a total of three minifigures, this pack offers one brand new character and an alternative way of building your Clone army.
Clone Trooper
These highly trained soldiers of the Grand Army of the Republic were created to fight back against the Separatist droid army.
The basic Clone Trooper has not been included in a set since 2018 and was last found in 75206 Jedi and Clone Troopers Battle Pack. With the 20th anniversary of Attack of the Clones happening later this year, there is the possibility of more sets being on their way.
This version of the Clone Trooper comes with updated torso print detailing. He also takes the printed legs that were previously exclusive to his Commander. The head is the same as the one used for the Commander as well as several other Clone Troopers from the prior year. The helmet print is slightly different than the prior version.
Clone Trooper Commander
In the hierarchy of the Grand Army of the Republic, these Clone Commanders led regiments of 2,304 Clone Troopers and answered directly to their Jedi General.
This hotly debated Clone Trooper Commander was a point of contention with many younger LEGO Star Wars fans when it was released with 75309 Republic Gunship last year. Adding fuel to the fire, he is now back again this time in a much cheaper set.
Although he is unnamed by LEGO, this Clone Trooper Commander closely resembles Commander Ponds. He has bright light orange markings on his arms, chest, and helmet. If the coloration wasn’t enough of a clue, his rank insignia plaque with four circles demonstrates his status as commander. Armed with a DC-15A blaster rifle, he is ready to lead his troops into battle!
This pack is an excellent way to kick off your Clone army ahead of the summer wave of Attack of the Clones sets so get them while you can!
