LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation Special: Everything We Know

Announced at the Summer of LEGO Star Wars panel during Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022, heroes Rose, Rey, Finn, Poe, and Chewbacca will be taking a summer vacation on August 5th when LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation streams on Disney+.

Aside from the key art and a brief description of the show, details are scant at the moment.

Following the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, our heroes – Rose, Rey, Finn, Poe, and Chewbacca – are looking to relax in the summer sun after their fateful battle with Emperor Palpatine. The galaxy’s heroes need a vacation badly, but, as many family vacations often turn out, things don’t go according to plan.

Focusing on Finn, the summer special will also feature a couple of musical numbers for fans – like Leeland Chee – to enjoy.

Weird Al Jankovic, who will take on the voice of a new character in Vic Vankoh, and Yvette Nicole Brown, reprising her role as Lt Valeria (who appeared in the second season of LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures), will join the rest of the LEGO Star Wars holiday special voice cast.

Written by David Shayne (LEGO Star Wars: All-Stars, The Freemaker Adventures and Holiday Special) and directed by Ken Cunningham (LEGO Star Wars: Holiday Special and Terrifying tales), the 45-minute long special is being produced by Atomic Cartoons and co-produced by Lucasfilm Animation.

Tieing in with the summer theme will be this year’s 75340 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, which features Darth Vader in summer attire and a sandcastle version of his fortress of solitude on Mustafar, and is due out at the start of September.
