If the current increases in the cost of living, compounded by the rise in the price of LEGO sets, has got you re-assessing your collecting habits then cast your beady eye on this micro version of the recently released 75335 BD-1 set – made out of only 16 pieces!
Designed as an exploration droid towards the end of the Galactic Republic, BD-1 fell in with Cal Kestis and quickly became the Padawan-in-exile’s eager sidekick, going on a quest to find a missing Jedi Holocron together.

Building this micro droid is easier than resurrecting a fallen order, and only needs 12 different elements that you’re likely to have accumulated from the spare pieces that LEGO packs in its sets.
Don’t worry if you’re short, because all these parts will only set you back a mere US$1.60 (plus postage) on Bricklink, which is significantly cheaper than the set’s retail price.
We’ve got the parts list, Stud.io file, and instruction pages bundled into a single 2Mb download to make things easy for you. If you’re feeling creative, you can swap the white pieces for light bluish gray ones to make BD-72 from The Mandalorian.
