Now that we’ve been able to get our hands on the Death Star II, I can say that this is the exact scale of death star we were looking for. As 10143: Death Star II (2005)’s truly awe inspiring build is of an agressive scale that leads to issues when looking for the perfect spot to display it.
The build is rather simple using SNOT bricks with clips into the classic pirate crow’s nest element “Plate, Modified 2 x 2 with Bar Frame Octagonal.” The build can be fully opened up to encapsulate the final explosion of the Death Star.
There is a special little surprise inside with the classic duel between Darth Vader and Luke, with the Emperor in his throne watching as the rebel fleet is destroyed. Overall this in a perfect set our humble opinion, although we all wanted another minifigure polybag. This set is an excellent addition to anyone collection.
