Taking the LEGO Star Wars community by total surprise today, Stone Wars posted what is believed to be an official one-to-one scale version of Yoda’s lightsaber – as first seen in Attack of the Clones – constructed from 140 elements.
In their report, they tentatively suggest that this will be a gift with purchase (GWP) that will be made available with the recently announced addition to the Master Builder Series subtheme – 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina. Additionally, they describe the set’s packaging as similar to 5006085 Buildable 2×4 Red Brick, which was a gift with purchase during November 2019.
These free sets and similar incentives, such as the Black VIP card which was awarded to those who bought 75192 Millennium Falcon in the first three months of it going on sale, have become increasingly common in recent years to help encourage early sales of large and more expensive sets.
This report is highly speculative on two accounts; it’s important to note that the example above is a render and could easily have been mocked up by a fan, and LEGO typically does not make models of weapons.
