While they aren’t necessarily the most interesting of figures on the face of it, 75311 Imperial Armored Marauder actually comes with four new minifigures.
Making its debut appearance in the twelfth episode of the second season of The Mandalorian, this boxy Imperial Remnant troop transport was hotwired by Cara Dune and manned by Greef Karga, disgraced magistrate turned Bounty Hunter’s Guild agent. While fleeing from Moff Gideon’s base on Nevarro in the stolen Trexler 906 Armored Marauder, Imperial troops attempted to stop their escape.
Greef Karga
This is the second LEGO version of Greef Karga that has been released and is quite an improvement over the last one. The hairpiece is the only thing that is the same between them. By season two of The Mandalorian, Greef had grown out his beard and had completely changed his wardrobe.
The headprint is unique to this minifigure and reflects the change but is only one-sided. The torso print reflects the black robes that he is seen wearing during season two as well. Another upgrade to the first version is the addition of hip and leg printing which seamlessly continues the robe design. The figure comes equipped with a blaster pistol.
Stormtroopers
From the outside, these two Stormtroopers are identical to both sw0997b and sw1137 meaning that the helmet design, torso printing, and leg printing are exactly the same as prior iterations.
What makes these troopers unique is the head underneath the helmet. What’s more, is that the two troopers also have different heads leading to two new variants. These two troopers also add some diversity to the ranks. Stormtrooper (sw1167) has a reddish-brown head with a male facial print Stormtrooper (sw1168) has a light flesh head with a female facial print. Both come with the same standard blaster E-11 rifle.
Artillery Stormtrooper
This all-new specialist class of stormtrooper – the Artillery Stormtrooper (aka Mortar Stormtrooper) – has only appeared in Chapter 14: The Tragedy during the second season of The Mandalorian. While the minifigure received some criticism over the coloration, it is a welcome addition to the Stormtrooper lineup.
The dual-molded helmet of the above Stormtroopers was overlaid with yellow accenting. The torso print continues the yellow marks and is an entirely new print. The legs are also the standard Stormtrooper print with the added yellow color. The character is completed with a brick-built backpack and a yellow cloth pauldron. While not directly equipped with a weapon, he does get a mortar (which is technically not an artillery weapon because it doesn’t have a rifled barrel) that he can use to fight the opposition!
