Blue Ocean has provided many unique LEGO Star Wars items over the past several years. What started with a dedicated LSW magazine turned into trading cards and then a Sticker Series. Now, after a two-year hiatus, the next round of trading cards is set to be released.
While no official information has been released yet, entries on Amazon Germany as well as eBay.de began popping up in the past couple of days.
From the images we can tell that four new booster pack designs are included this year – Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Yoda, and The Mandalorian and Grogu. The booster packs will again contain five cards each. We can also see that more Limited Edition Gold Cards are in store.
The total number of cards is unknown at this time but Series 1 contained 252 regular cards and Series 2 contained 202, so the expectation would be somewhere in this range. Both of the prior series were available outside of Germany, so those in the UK should be able to add them to their collections as well. Unfortunately for those in North American and Australasia, buying online will be the only option.
The initial offering will include a Starter Pack at 8.99€, a number of Multipacks for 4.99€ and individual booster packs for 1€. Prices in the UK are expected to be similar. These will likely be widely available at national supermarkets and newsagents as were the prior two series.
Series 3 is expected to launch on February 26th. The Holo-Brick Archives reached out to Blue Ocean for more information but has not gotten any more details from them at the time of this article.
