When LEGO anounced another 4+ Star Wars set we were all understandably concerned. However tying it directly to the Disney show was a stroke of marketing genius.

We always wondered who was going to purchase 4+ sets based on The Empire Strikes Back. How many 4-6 year olds have been watching Episodes IV through VI without falling asleep? Luckily no kids are going to fall asleep with the easy to consume roughly 10 minute episodes of the young Jedi adventures. With another set rumoured the be on the way this summer. Now you can blast off on adventures with Bingbong Supercrest, Stev Trambor and Yoda. (Those are totally their real names.) The figures are really nice, these are high republic style robes which we have only recieved a similar style with the Jedi Consular in set 75205 Jedi Defender-class Cruiser
The set also features a purple lightsaber which we would love to see remain exclusive to Mace Windu, but it appears Disney has thrown that out the window. The set also features a training droid which has been given it’s own figure number: sw1271. Although we seem to think this training droid is actually RJ-83, which makes no sense to include a random training droid and not the named droid from the show. There is also a glaring omission of the Jedi Padawan Nubs
As per usual using price per piece makes no sense with a 4+ set that is covered in larger parts. Based on Canadian prices 49.99 CAD the set weighs in at 164 grams making it $0.30 CAD per gram, similarly the 75346 Pirate Snub Fighter which we recently reviewed weighs in at 193 grams and costs $44.99 CAD making it: $0.23 cad per gram.
Overall this is a great set for figures and nicely printed Star Wars parts as all 4+ sets do not have stickers. Their real names are Lys Solay and Kai Brightstar. So let the padawan adventures continues for 200 or so years before Anakin wipes them all out.
