The battle to bring down the Empire – and a science fiction franchise that has spanned generations – could have been brought to a swift end if the sensors on The Devestator had been calibrated to detect droids. Thankfully they weren’t and this escape pod was able to reach the surface of Tatooine and (circuitously) deliver the plans into the hands of the Rebel Alliance.
