A mere twenty-four hours after we posted our list of potential Episode 9 sets, a leaked list of confirmed additions to the next movie’s line-up – plus more – started making the rounds.
Typically these lists get debunked pretty quickly and LEGO clamps down on sites perpetuating unofficial product news (Rebelscum knows this, from experience!) but when Graham over at Brick Fanatics shared the source of the new set numbers and names, it was all but confirmed.
In addition to 75270 Obi-Wan’s Hut and 75271 Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder, which were revealed at San Diego Comic Con during the summer, we can expect the following:
- 75263 Y-wing Microfighter – US$15/86 pieces
- 75264 Kylo Ren’s TIE Shuttle Microfighter – US$15/72 pieces
- 75265 T-16 Skyhopper vs. Bantha Microfighter – US$30/198 pieces
- 75266 First Order Trooper Battle Pack – US$20/105 pieces
- 75267 The Mandalorian Battle Pack – US$20/102 pieces
- 75268 4+ Snowspeeder – US$30/91 pieces
- 75269 Duel on Mustafar – US$30/208 pieces
- 75272 TIE Dagger – US$85/470 pieces
- 75273 Resistance X-wing – US$120/761 pieces
- 75276 Stormtrooper Bust – US$75/647 pieces
- 75277 Boba Fett Bust – US$75/625 pieces
*Prices shown above are based on today’s conversion rate between the Swiss Franc and the US dollar and should only be taken as an indicative, rather than absolute, cost.
While the prior list is almost certainly true, one rumour that ties in with the expected December 27th release of the winter wave is the likely appearance of the polybagged Obi-Wan Kenobi minifigure, which we reported on in July, as part of a gift with purchase promotion.
The truth of this rumour is unknown, as is the spend level that activates the offer but it’s likely to more than the ~$50 that the polybag is going for on eBay.com at the moment.
If you are in the market for the winter wave and want to get this polybag, your options are simple – buy it all from LEGO.com or take advantage of the lower prices at big box retailers like Walmart or Amazon, and spend some of your savings on the secondary market.
