Laser Labs LEGO Display Stands

Starting out less than three years ago with zero customers and no advance orders Laser Labsnow have become the go-to provider for LEGO display stands. With a very healthy turnover and 7500 international returning customers, they manage to both fulfil their orders and keep up with the needs of the LEGO community.

So, if they are so big, why haven’t you heard of them? For starters, they don’t have a website-  preferring to conduct all their transactions through their eBay store front –  and instead of an advertising campaign, they let their reputation within the AFOL community do the talking.

Success breeds competition and within a year there were already more than a dozen copy cats. Laser Labs is seemingly unworried and they believe their approach is a winner. So what is their secret recipe?

From our interactions and experience with the company it is clear they produce an affordable product that is ready to use out of the box. Just take a look at our unboxing video and you’ll see that they don’t compromise quality, and by having their stands pre-assembled means your LEGO Star Wars vehicle can be put on display immediately.

Laser Labs offered two examples for us to get a good look at, and we selected two representative stands to display a small and a large LEGO Star Wars set.

As luck would have it they had ones that complemented two fan-favourite Rebels sets and since I had just completed the builds on these I plumped to get their custom stand for 75053 The Ghost and a smaller 60 mm tall stand for my 75048 The Phantom set. (They do have a specific stand for 75048 The Phantom, as well as a stand for the newer version if you are interested.)

The stand for 75053 The Ghost fit snuggly and was balanced perfectly but as luck would have it the stand I chose for 75048 The Phantom was too wide for the slim base of the set. This gave a perfect opportunity to modify the 4 stud wide top of the stand to accommodate the 2 stud width of the bottom 75048 The Phantom, and a chance to have a look at the precision that the Laser Labs fixing studs are cut.

These remarkable stands are very popular and come highly recommended by many members of the LEGO Star Wars community and are highly adaptable. Our one, and only, criticism is that Laser Labs doesn’t have a display stand that accommodates ground vehicles like landspeeders and speederbikes.
