Over the course of the history of LEGO there have been many books, with the earliest dating from the 1960s, covering the core themes of Town, Space and Castle. The earliest titles were printed by LEGO themselves but since the late 1990s they have developed partnerships with specialist publishing houses - including Dorling Kindersley (DK), Scholastic and Ameet - to produce exclusive material.
