While the monthly LEGO magazine and quarterly catalogs have been a staple in the world of LEGO for many decades, the periodical in the medium of the popular press is a relatively new addition for LEGO Star Wars collectors, and while LEGO Star Wars sets have been included as magazine and newspaper gifts over the years it was only in 2015 that the first licensed LEGO Star Wars periodical was printed.
