Teased in 2012 as a San Diego Comic Con exclusive, these were introduced in 2014 and served as a replacement to the mini-scale subtheme. Each single Microfighter set contained a minifigure pilot and a small vehicle with exaggerated features. Dual packs were revealed in 2018 to expand the range.
