The video featurette goes on to explain – in the words of those who worked on the title – that in building the whole Skywalker Saga the Tt Games team had to take it further than they’d been with the previous LEGO Star Wars games. In re-imagining the nine movie arc in LEGO Star Wars form, Tt Games knew they had to refresh the game in a way that felt familiar yet reinvented, while still retaining the storytelling and jokes that are so integral to their previous LEGO Star Wars titles, with new gameplay modes (like space combat), a refreshed way of navigating the game as well as adding new Easter eggs (like “pew, pew” and mumble mode) to keep players exploring.

On top of new insight to LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, highlights of the segment included comments by Josh Pickering Pick (Art Director), Tessa Verplanke (Lead Sound Designer), Dave Brown (Cinematic Direction & Screenplay), Ben Klages (Head of Game Programming), Vassillis Poulopoulos (Lead Render Tech Programmer), Thomas Coleman (Lead LEGO Model Artist), Neil Crofts (Head of Character Art), Dawn McDiarmid (Designer and no relation to Ian McDiarmid), Mark Crane (Lead Animator), Laurence Gee (Lead Designer) and Dewi Roberts (Assistant Game Director).
