With the opening Star Wars Celebration Anaheim ceremonies complete, the levels of anticipation for the rest of the convention are in overdrive, and many LEGO Star Wars fans will be looking forward to tomorrow’s Summer of LEGO Star Wars panel.
With so many seats and so many more pass holders the chances of getting in aren’t guaranteed – what’s the best way to ensure your attendance?
Sadly there isn’t a sure-fire way to bag a seat, but there are a couple of things you can do to increase your chances.
The first is to scope out the Galaxy Stage location in advance and know how to get there quickly. You’ll also want to turn up early and get a spot in the line. Most panels will start a queuing system before the previous panel ends so getting there at least 30 minutes before the 12:30 start of Summer of LEGO Star Wars will help.
With the Virtual Panel Selection only covering the first panel of each day on the Galaxy Stage, there’s no way to use this to get a seat, so instead you’ll need to try your luck with the Lightspeed Lane reservation system. Similar to the Virtual Panel Selection, it is only for one ticket per Celebration pass but does, however, give you a reserved seat if you are selected.
The reservation process for a Lightspeed Lane pass starts at 9 am and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. You can only try to reserve one seat per day and you cannot pass your reservation on to someone else, so if you are on the fence about attending the Summer of LEGO Star Wars panel then think hard, because you might be denying another fan a chance to see what’s coming up.
You’ll either need the Star Wars Celebration app (available for iOS or Android phones) or visit the Star Wars Celebration website to get started.
Good luck and hopefully we’ll see you there!
