Other than the reveal of 40615 Tusken Raider BrickHeadz, it has been fairly quiet up to this point. This seems to be the most protected wave for a long time, so perhaps this is a consequence of LEGO cracking down on leaks.
However, things are bound to get by and in the past few days some images of upcoming sets have surfaced. Shared on Instagram are the images for 75344 Boba Fett’s Starship Microfighter, 75345 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack, and 75347 TIE Bomber.
The Microfighter features the same Boba Fett as 75312 Boba Fett’s Starship and 75326 Boba Fett’s Throne Room, but this time he does not come with the antenna which will make it a new variant. The build looks pretty good overall and matches the subtheme well.
After the recent retirement of 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers, the rumored 501st Specialist pack was highly anticipated. The new pack features four minifigures with a total of three new designs. They make good use of the new Phase 2 helmet first revealed in 75337 AT-TE Walker. All three designs are quite attractive, and the new visor for the 501st Clone Specialist is a nice addition to existing Clone Trooper accessories.
After two decades, the TIE Bomber has finally been revisited in System scale. Early opinions have suggested that the build is too small. It does appear to be about the same size as a TIE Advanced, so it will have to be compared to existing designs to get a better feel for the scale. It comes with four minifigures, and Vice Admiral Sloane and the Gonk Droid both look like nice additions.
More news should be coming in the next week, so be sure to keep checking for the latest updates.
