Through the course of its history, LEGO has released many books through its own publishing arm as well as in conjunction with a number of outside partners - with the most prodigious being Dorling Kindersley, who printed the first LEGO Star Wars book in 2009. Since then the number of formats that LEGO co-produces has expanded to include games and activities, early readers, Christmas annuals, colouring books, puzzles, creative guides, and comics - many of which include minfigures and exclusive builds.
